This document is tested on a Citrix Access Gateway Enterprise, firmware 9.0 Build 66.12

Users can connect to the CAGE by using the clientless method or using the Citrix Access Gateway plugin for Windows.

You can configure the CAGE to automatically push this plugin to Windows based client computers.

The downside is that when this plugin is automatically installed on your computer it creates a shortcut in the “startup” folder of your “start menu”

"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Citrix Access Gateway.lnk"

The next time this computer boots up it will automatically start the Citrix Access Gateway plugin. The easiest way the avoid this is to delete this shortcut. But you will have to instruct your users on how to do this. You can also customize the Citrix Access Gateway plugin file which is located on your Citrix Access Gateway Enterprise, this file contains a MSI-file which can be edited by a tool like Orca MSI-editor.

I will explain how-to customize the install behavior of the Citrix Access Gateway plugin in a few simple steps.
